More than two years after the first release, Elmo Loves ABCs was one of fifty children’s apps, games & websites last night awarded a Common Sense Media ON for Learning Award.
The inaugural On for Learning awards recognize digital media with the highest learning potential for preschool - junior high age children. Marino worked closely with learning experts at Sesame Street to develop this app which previously won a Parent’s Choice Silver Award and was one of the top 100 selling iPad apps in 2012 (overall, USA).
About Elmo Loves ABCs
Designed and engineered in Ireland for Sesame Street USA, Elmo Loves ABCs takes a guided learning approach to teaching the ABCs with a unique ‘trace to unlock’ feature. Children are encouraged to explore all the letters but must successfully trace the upper and lower case of a chosen letter to access awesome videos from the Sesame vaults, activities, a letter quiz and sing along videos (check out the hilarious Grover doing the alphabet song 1970s disco style!)
